During our recent family trip to Aso, we chose to stay at Aso Base, a hostel ideally located just a five-minute walk from Aso JR Station. This proved to be immensely convenient for exploring the breathtaking surroundings of Mt. Aso. Our family particularly enjoyed the accessibility of various amenities, including on-site bike hire, which we utilized to leisurely navigate local sights. The gorgeous views from the balconies made for delightful evening gatherings, where we recounted our daily adventures. The hostel features well-maintained shared spaces, including a quaint kitchen and a cozy common area filled with books and resources about the area. We found the staff to be notably helpful, guiding us with recommendations on local attractions and eateries. Aso Base is a welcoming hub for families seeking adventure and a sense of community, all the while providing a safe and comfortable atmosphere important for creating memorable experiences.
